Steve Solow Receives Top Chambers Ranking for 17th Year
Chambers and Partners has awarded Steve Solow a Band 1 ranking in Environment in the 2026 Chambers USA guide. It is Steve’s17th consecutive year being ranked.
Prior to founding his own firm in 2024, Steve was a partner at Baker Botts, Katten, and Hunton Andrews Kurth. He served as Chief of the Environmental Crimes Section at the U.S. Department of Justice, and before that was a prosecutor with the New York State Organized Crime Task Force. He has also served as a Court-Appointed Monitor. His practice focuses on business crimes, internal investigations, corporate compliance programs, and environmental civil and criminal litigation.
Chambers determines which attorneys to include and potentially rank in the annual guide based on confidential interviews with attorneys’ recent clients, as well as a variety of other considerations including market awareness and reputation. According to Chambers, an attorney who ranks in any band “has stood out in the most rigorous, independent and in-depth research process of any legal directory on the market, and has emerged as one of the best” in their field.

In addition to practicing law, Steve is a professor in the Environmental Law program at Pace University’s Elisabeth Haub School of Law. He also serves as a Senior Fellow at the Program on Corporate Compliance and Enforcement (PCCE) at the NYU School of Law, and a Senior Fellow at the Zicklin Center for Governance and Business Ethics at Wharton.
