Steve Solow Receives Top Chambers Ranking for 16th Year
Chambers and Partners has awarded Steve Solow a Band 1 ranking in Environment in its 2025 Chambers USA guide. While it is Steve’s16th consecutive year being ranked, it is the first in his affiliation with Solow, PLLC, the Washington, D.C. practice he established last year.
Prior to founding his own firm, Steve was a partner at Baker Botts; Katten; and Hunton Andrews Kurth. He served as Chief of Environmental Crimes Section at the U.S. Department of Justice, and before that was a prosecutor with the New York State Organized Crime Task Force. He has also been a Court Appointed Monitor. His practice focuses on business crimes, internal investigations, corporate compliance programs, and environmental civil and criminal litigation.
Chambers determines which attorneys to include and potentially rank in the annual guide based on confidential interviews with attorneys’ recent clients, as well as a variety of other considerations including market awareness and reputation. According to Chambers, an attorney who ranks in any band “has stood out in the most rigorous, independent and in-depth research process of any legal directory on the market, and has emerged as one of the best” in their field.
Client feedback that informed Steve’s ranking for 2025 included the following anonymized comments made public by Chambers:
“Steve is a visionary, he consistently identifies innovative solutions to problems, blending deep expertise with a forward-thinking approach. Steve prioritizes integrity and fairness in every decision.”
“Steve brings deep experience with environmental matters, compliance strategies and client relationship to bear on each matter he undertakes.”
“We couldn’t be more pleased with the service he provides.”
In addition to serving clients through Solow, PLLC, Steve is a Managing Director of Global Compliance and Corporate Culture at Affiliated Monitors, Inc.
